Institute for Democratization of the Information on Sanitation and Environment.

On October twenty-third of the year two thousand, Web-Resol was founded, a non-profit corporation, as the Civil Organization of Public Interests, with no political or party purposes, but with own juridical character, ruled by a SOCIAL STATUTE, approved in General Meeting, and whose main points are presented as follows:


CHAPTER I: DESIGNATION, HEADQUARTER, COURT AND DURATION:

Article 1º - Designation: INSTITUTO PARA DEMOCRATIZAÇÃO DE INFORMAÇÕES SOBRE SANEAMENTO BÁSICO E MEIO AMBIENTE (DEMOCRATIZATION INSTITUTE OF SANITATION AND ENVIRONMENT INFORMATION) - WEB-RESOL.

Article 2º - The headquarter and the court are in the City of Rio Bonito, State of Rio de Janeiro, at Praça Astério de Mendonça, 107 - part of a two-story house, and it may have offices anywhere in the national territory.

Article 3º - The duration of this corporation is of indeterminate time.


CHAPTER II: OBJECTIVES:

Article 4º - The objectives of WEB-RESOL are to:

A) Promote the propagation, widely and globally, with free access for all interested people through any type of media, of information about several themes that involve sanitation and environment, and especially, how the solid residues are handled and the urban cleaning system. This way, WEB-RESOL intends to help qualify the responsible people for such activities in countries going through development, focusing on the countries in the Latin America and Caribbean, so to enable such countries to carry out their daily tasks and plan their services in the mid and short terms with more efficiency, offering the population a better health and life quality condition;

B) Study, research on and publish new technologies, methodologies and operational ways that are able to bring adequate and proper solutions to the environmental problems and the sanitation sectors, so to achieve better life conditions and an ecologically sustainable development;

C) Promote debates, meetings, lectures, seminars and congresses on the questions related to sanitation and environment;

D) Sign, carry out and develop agreements and partnerships with public and private institutions, as well as national or international institutions, so to implement programs of recovery, editing, and propagation of information about sanitation and environment;

E) Collect, interpret and translate into several languages data and information about sanitation and environment, in order to enable its unrestricted propagation to all interested people

Incentive, support and assist public and private institutions, mainly the administration sectors that are directly and indirectly related, at city, state and federal levels, in the elaboration of studies and projects, aiming at improving the services regarding sanitation and environment protection;

G) Establish relations of cooperation with the governmental or non-governmental sectors and entities, which, anywhere in the world, with the inspiration of peace and social justice, take care of problems related to sanitation and environment;

H) Promote activities that stimulate the sensitivity and awareness of the population, so to make the citizens participate actively, within their range of responsibilities, possibilities and interests, in the activities regarding sanitation and environment protection;

SINGLE PARAGRAPH: WEB-RESOL may establish agreements with other entities, at city, state, national or international level, to carry out its activities.
